ATLANTA, GA – The Laurie Morvan
Band, who’ve taken the blues world
by storm in the past two years,
announce an October 20 release date
for the group’s hottest CD yet,
Fire It Up!, on Screaming
Lizard Records, distributed
nationally by Burnside Distribution.
Led by
Laurie Morvan on guitar and lead
vocals, the band has had an
impressive surge of popularity
around the world after the release
of the group’s 2007 album,
Cure What Ails Ya, which
included not only fantastic reviews
of the disc, but also extensive
national touring and additional
acclaim as a finalist in the
International Blues Challenge and
finalist in the Blues Foundation’s
Best Self-Produced CD competition,
both held in Memphis, Tennessee in
2008 (the ONLY band to do
so).
