VANCOUVER, BC – Black Hen Music
announces the signing of
singer/songwriter Roxanne Potvin and
an April 19 U.S. release date for
her label debut CD, Play,
a bold new direction into her rock,
pop and punk influences and a
distinct departure from those fans
who knew her as a blues artist.

the U.S. by Burnside Distribution.
Play
is the fifth album
from the Juno Award-nominated Potvin,
and the new CD was produced by Juno
Award-winner Steve Dawson, who also
adds his multi-instrumental talents
throughout. Recorded in Vancouver
with an all-star backing band that
includes Geoff Hicks (Colin James)
on drums, Keith Lowe (Bill Frisell)
on bass and Chris Gestrin (Randy
Bachman) on keyboards, Play
establishes Roxanne’s
abilities as an acclaimed singer as
well as a remarkable songwriter.
